Deep tissue massage is an invigorating and therapeutic massage technique that focuses on addressing chronic tension and tightness in the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. By using firm pressure and slow, deliberate strokes, a skilled massage therapist targets specific areas of discomfort to release muscle knots and alleviate chronic pain. Unlike Swedish massage, deep tissue massage involves more intense pressure to access the underlying muscle layers. This type of massage is beneficial for individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions, muscle stiffness, or recovering from injuries. While the pressure can be intense, the ultimate goal of deep tissue massage is to promote improved mobility, flexibility, and overall relief from deep-seated muscular issues.
